Remember, the silver underneath. The journey to now. The blood and fire that feeds this metal thunder town.

Last Night I Met You Dreaming is a magic realist story about an ambitious journalist who never got over her brother’s death. When mysterious documents are blocked by her editor she is transported to ‘The Region’, a lush green place on the verge of collapse. There she uncovers the truth about a dangerous mining operation, with the help of the spirit world and an extraordinary young woman who opens her eyes and unlocks her heart. This visual show combines text, movement, music, animation and projection mapping  and is inspired by Isabel Allende, Naomi Klein and Eve Ensler.

The script was developed and written with support from the Arts Council England, The CLF Art Café, Pexmas Munch Festival and Hackney Showroom.

We presented a workshop presentation of Last Night I Met You Dreaming with Upstart Theatre for three nights at Ovalhouse in June 2018 testing the script with projection, movement and music. The piece was performed as part of their FIRST BITES season of new and in-development work. The production was supported using public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England. The animation was created in collaboration with London Metropolitan University.

We are now working towards a full production of the piece for Summer 2019.
